My Experience with Demelan Cream: One Month Results—Was It Worth It in the End?

Demelan Cream skincare product image for review

It’s been about a month since I started using an Indian skincare cream called “Demelan Cream” to deal with my stubborn strawberry nose (blackheads).

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been carefully tracking my skin—checking in after one week, two weeks, and now finally, a full month.

There were moments along the way when I honestly felt unsure, especially when small white pimples suddenly started appearing around my nose.

That was the point where I almost stopped.

But instead, I decided to keep going—carefully, and with a bit of trial and error.

So this time, I want to look back on the entire process and answer one simple question, as honestly as I can:

What actually happened after using this cream for one full month?

This article is part of my ongoing review series, where I’ve been testing Demelan Cream step by step—from ingredients and purchasing, to real usage and results.

Let’s take a closer look at what I’ve learned after one month.

If you missed the previous part, you can read it here.

This article includes close-up photos of pores and skin texture, so please keep that in mind if you’re sensitive to such images.

One Month with Demelan Cream: My Honest Conclusion

After using Demelan Cream for a full month, one thing became very clear to me:

This is not a “just apply and forget” kind of skincare product.

I did notice gradual changes in my pores and skin texture—but at the same time, I also experienced dryness and temporary breakouts.

It felt less like a quick fix, and more like something that requires patience and adjustment depending on your skin.

Rather than something you can use casually, it’s the kind of product you need to approach carefully—starting with small amounts, and paying close attention to how your skin responds.

That said, when it works for your skin, it does seem to deliver real, visible changes.

Personally, I feel like it’s worth continuing—but with thoughtful adjustments along the way.

If you’d like to see the full journey and results, I’ve summarized everything here.

A Month of Changes: What Actually Happened

The First Week

Left: before use / Right: after one week

At the beginning, I didn’t notice anything dramatic.

But there was a subtle shift—I felt like my skin’s rough texture was beginning to smooth out slightly.

Looking back, this was also when I realized that this wouldn’t be a “quick results” kind of product.

It helped me adjust my expectations early on, which honestly made the rest of the process easier to handle.

Around Week Two: Breakouts and Doubts

Left: early stage / Right: after two weeks

Between week one and week two, I didn’t notice any major changes.

That said, there was a slight improvement in redness, which felt encouraging.

On the other hand, my skin did feel a bit more unstable during this period.

I also noticed a sudden increase in small white pimples around my nose.

To be honest, I was pretty shocked.

That was the moment I started wondering, “Is this actually making things worse?”

Since I had been alternating between Demelan Cream and a peeling serum every other day, I started to notice a pattern in how my skin reacted.

These breakouts often seemed to appear the day after I used the cream.

At one point, I stopped using it and switched back to my peeling serum for a while to let my skin rest.

That period was honestly the most stressful part of this whole process.

But now, looking back, it also feels like a turning point.

After that phase, my skin slowly began to shift.

After One Month: My Current Skin

Now, after a full month, those white pimples have mostly settled down.

There’s still a slight redness around the sides of my nose, but overall, my skin feels smoother and more even.

It feels like my skin has gone through a gentle reset—almost as if a thin layer has quietly renewed itself.

The changes aren’t dramatic, but they are noticeable in a quiet, gradual way.

My skin looks calmer, slightly brighter, and more refined than before.

The blackheads haven’t completely disappeared, but they do feel less noticeable than they used to.

And when I touch my skin, the rough texture I used to feel is definitely reduced.

What I Actually Noticed (Results)

Changes in Pores and Clogged Material

Over the course of the month, I started noticing something interesting.

Sometimes, when I lightly touched my skin, small clogged plugs would come out easily.

It felt like the buildup inside my pores was gradually coming out.

That said, I wouldn’t say my pores have visibly shrunk.

They’re still noticeable—but they do feel a little less congested than before.

Skin Texture and Smoothness

One of the clearest changes was how my skin felt.

The uneven, rough texture I used to notice has softened, and overall, my skin feels smoother to the touch.

It’s not a dramatic transformation—but it’s definitely a real, tangible difference.

Brightness and Tone

Although I mainly focused on photos of my nose, I also felt that my overall skin tone looked slightly brighter.

I don’t have clear comparison photos of my whole face, so this is more of a personal impression.

Still, it’s something I noticed consistently over time.

How It Felt Compared to My Peeling Serum

During this period, I was alternating between Demelan Cream and a peeling serum.

And interestingly, I could feel a clear difference the next day.

Compared to Demelan Cream, my skin generally felt more hydrated, smooth, and refreshed when using the peeling serum.

After using Demelan Cream, on the other hand, my skin sometimes felt a bit dry and slightly rough.

To be completely honest, I personally preferred how my skin felt after using the peeling serum.

It was gentler, and simply more comfortable for me.

Things That Concerned Me

The biggest concern during this process was definitely the white pimples.

When they first appeared, I felt genuinely anxious.

But instead of stopping completely, I chose to pause, observe, and slowly reintroduce the cream.

Over time, my skin gradually settled down.

In my case, it felt like a temporary reaction, similar to a “purging phase.”

That said, this is based on my own experience.

I don’t think it’s something everyone should push through.

It’s important to listen to your own skin and adjust accordingly, rather than forcing yourself to continue.

What I Learned: Tips for Using It

After one month, I realized a few key things about how to use this cream:

・ Start with a very small amount
・ Pay close attention to how your skin reacts
・ Don’t hesitate to take breaks when needed

One small trick that helped me:

Instead of fully removing the inner seal, I simply poked a small hole in it with a toothpick.

This made it much easier to control how much product came out—and helped prevent overusing it.

When using it on my whole face, I found that mixing a small amount with my moisturizer made it easier to spread and more comfortable to use.

Important Precautions While Using It

Make Sure to Moisturize Well

Demelan Cream contains 10% glycolic acid (AHA), which works by softening and exfoliating old skin cells.

Because of this, I felt like my skin barrier became a bit weaker temporarily, and my skin lost moisture more easily.

I definitely noticed more dryness on the days when I didn’t moisturize enough.

So keeping the skin well moisturized is very important when using this product.

Use It at Night and Wear Sunscreen

Since AHA makes your skin more sensitive to sunlight, I only used this cream at night.

And the next day, I always applied sunscreen—even if I wasn’t going out.

Sun protection becomes especially important when using exfoliating products like this.

Use Small Amounts and Go Slowly

This cream isn’t typically sold in regular Japanese drugstores, and one possible reason is its relatively high concentration of active ingredients.

Because of that, it can feel quite strong depending on your skin.

That’s why I made a conscious effort to use small amounts and gradually observe how my skin responded.

Final Thoughts: Who Is This For?

After using Demelan Cream for a month, the most noticeable changes for me were:

Improved skin tone and smoother texture.

If you’re dealing with dullness or roughness, I do think this product is worth trying.

However, when it comes to reducing the actual size of pores, I haven’t seen a clear change yet.

This product might not suit people who are hoping for quick, immediate results from their skincare routine.

That said, I wouldn’t call it ineffective either.

It feels more like a product that works gradually—depending on how you use it and how your skin responds.

So my overall impression is:

This is a product that requires patience—but has real potential.

Personally, I plan to continue using it and see how my skin evolves over time.

If anything changes, I’d love to share an update in a future post.
